It's definitely chillier in the morning lately; and the trees are losing their leaves rapidly. Of course, one sign of fall is a bumper crop of tomatoes!
I've been busy canning salsa and other tomato goodies recently; as well as enjoying BLT's. This year I had 43 tomato plants, including some heirloom varieties I had never tried before. Included among them were Brandywines, pineapple, yellow, and pear tomatoes.
We now have ducks and chickens and are even getting duck eggs! We hope the chickens start laying soon.
I love having Barbecues and sitting around the fire on a crisp fall night. Here are some pictures from a recent party that included my brother in law Kevin, his wife Nancy, and his daughter Tory and son Cooper.
Kevin loves the burgers!
My daughter Rachel likes holding Cooper; he's just two weeks old.
My husband Greg and Tori make silly faces.
